Only 2 or 3 outfits make all the batteries in this country regardless of the brand name sticker slapped on the side of them. Wal-Mart certainly isn't manufacturing their own. If you find one there that is the right size for your bike and the price is right, buy it!

No Way! I thought that too but after 1 day of riding the vent tube spewed out acid all over the F#$%^#N place. Took off paint, chrome ect, whatever it touched. It went back to Wal Mart and I went to the dealer and got an HD one.I learned later the HD one is sealed, no vent tube, no leaking. I was told the bike vibrates too much requiring the "gel" sealed battery. If your Wal Mart has a sealed gel battery its most likey ok, but if it has avent tube, leave it there!

Yea, I used to bowl with a guy thta owned a place called Battery warehouse where they rebuilt and recycled them and he said their all the same with different labels. Ive had a wal- mart battery in my SUV for 3 years.

Yep. Here's my impute:
I sometimes tune in a weekend radio program where a guy who owns an independent auto repair business takes calls on automotive maintenance issues. One caller asked about Walmart batteries. The guy warned against Walmart batteries due to case leakage issues. I happened to have a Walmart battery installed in one of my vehicles at the time. I decided to check to see if it was leaking. It was. Walmart battery came out - AC Delco battery went in. No more Walmart batteries for me; you get what you pay for.
All batteries are NOT created equal; there can be significant differences in case and cell plate materials and thicknesses. Some batteries cost more than others, often for good reason.
Anecdotal? Sure. Isn't everything on these forums? It's your money, your bike. Put whatever makes you happy in there. But if it's a Walmart battery, keep an eye on it. Battery acid does nasty things when it gets where it's not supposed to be.

If it was sealed, I'd use it.
I have a Walmart battery in my Jeep. It is seven years old and still going strong. I have one in my Toyota pickup. It is 6 years old and still doing fine. I have one in my boat that is 4 years old and still starting the boat with flying colors.
