I've ben trying to find a solo saddle for my '06 FLHXi for long hauls.
The big issue for me is getting abit lower "into" the bike...I'm sure everyone understands my meaning..
I have purchased a Sundowner which raised me higher than the stock seat and way too close to the front for the bike.
Not comfortable at all.
The link below posted by ww1flyingAce on another topic was great comparison at getting a understanding. Thanks for that... http://home.comcast.net/~kceder/seats.html
I wish I had found it before I purchased the Sundowner..
Never tried the Ultimate seats or Mustang seats.
Does anybody have a data and/or opinion on the Corbin Classic Solo ?? Seat height at the bucket etc ? http://www.corbin.com/harley/flhx/hdflhx6s.shtml
Anyone recommend a seat that lowers you into a FLHX ?
Thanx

RE: A seat that gets me " lower" into my Street Glide
I think most anyone who rides a touring bike will "get you" when it comes to riding on vs in the bike, i.e., the Softtail/Touring debate. The BEST seat, overall, that will sit you "in" the motorcycle like you want is the C&C Fastback, (or probably any of their seats.) Since you have an 06, you'll even get a little lower due to the PCM not being located under the seat.
RE: A seat that gets me " lower" into my Street Glide
I have the Corbin Classic Solo on my 08 Ultra and love it. Great riding position. As stated above I don't think it's as hard as the old ones but I've always loved their seats no matter what.

my danny gray solo buttcrack seat gets you right into the bike comfy too. done a couple of 200mile rides on it and no problems. i pretty much use this seat all the time never an issue. talk to bart at cateye customs he can get you a pretty good deal on seats.
