I put the Screaming Eagle "race only" (discontinued) slip-ons on my 07 RKC and am very happy with them. Nice rumble but not annoying. If my memory serves me right the part number was 64903-99. Highly recommend.
I've got the new SE slip-ons that have the changeable tips, and like them. They're a bit louder than stock, but do get louder when you roll on the throttle. They are not as loud as the older SEs.
Pipe sound is very subjective. I started with Rush which (IMO) sounded "tinny" and cheap. Switched to V&H oval which sounded much better but a little too loud for what I was looking for. When with the SE slip-on and to me, they are perfect sound. Nice deep rumble but not too loud.
Go to a biker bar or dealer on the weekend and listen to a few bikesas they roll in. If you like the sound of their pipes, just ask them what they have.
I have a set of older SE race slip on's with fulsac duals. Love the deep low rumble and they have a good bark when you twist the throttle. But as others have said you need to go to an event or bar and listen to all the pipes you can, that way you have an educated choice and it will end up saving you money in the end. Good luck with your search brother.
Is it any wonder why there are so many people satisfied (including me) with the SE slip-ons? After all, they were designed by HD to work perfectly on HD bikes. I found that they need a few thousand miles to fully mellow out to a deep, rich, sound. Not tinny like Rush and Reinhart.
