Dogmann, I run a 2003 Ultra with 95 inch stage two kit, PC111r and Sampson True Duals with one piece SE slip ons. They sound very good to me. Buy the slip ons and I will include the bike! Good luck! I say listen to all of them at a local bike night and talk to the owners. You will have your answer.
Just put on the new two-piece SE slip-ons (64895-7A) onto my '08 Ultra ... previously had drilled out the catalyst material on the stock pipes trying to get the deeper and more mellow tone without going ear shattering loud but that didn't produce the right sound! So, ordered the new Street Performance SE pipes from Zanottis and WOW am I ever impressed with the sound! Nice deep rumble, good bark under throttle, comfortable rumble at cruise speed, no decel popping, great looking 4" diameter pipes, and just the right decibel level for me - especially to tour with! I do have the 110" motor, so likely they are a bit louder than on a 96" or 88" ... but nevertheless, after struggling to find the right sound on my previous scoots and never being satisfied I finally succeeded on this one!
i tried the following set ups on my 2007 Street Glide
1-thundermax/2-1 fatcat/ness big sucker--ran ok but only 28 MPG period.
2-thundermax/rinehart true duals/ness big sucker--27 to 31 MPG period
3-factory ECM with stage one download/ness big sucker/2005 SE slipons--best performance ever.33 to 35MPG city/42 to 47.3 MPG Hwy.no pinging at all and runs like a rape ape.performs better now than ever.
