Had 10"just installed my 16" took about three evenings to complete& put them to the test 200 miles one stop for gas . big improvement @ 5`11 grips are at shoulder when rideing. wind shield set right on andthe bars are set at vertical.
Swap them out and get the 16's. At your size you can't go wrong. Papa Travis is right about the stock windshield, you have to pull them back. I have kicked forward and don't run a windshield though. Just my $.02
Not to sound like a jerk but........ 16's and up only!!!
Sounds like a jerk..J/k I'm with drrandall1. I have been trying to decide on the apes myself untillI saw Q Hog's bike. Those bars are perfect, of course therest of thebike helps them along. I would still like to see a pic of a bike with the 16's and the full stock shield. Like you I am worried about the bars coming back too far.
I was going to stay with my Fat Boy and get apes but really wanted the bat wing and tunes. The Wild1 chubby's seem like the way to go. 16's are a great look.... and look like apes. Anything less is ........... well ya know.
