I would like to find a screw-on connector type tire pressure guage....I too have trouble getting the angle right when I check pressure and end up loosing enough to guarentee that I have to add, and I have 4 different guages....just can't get the right angle with any of them. If there was a screw on type that didn't loose air while attaching it I would own it in a heartbeat.
...Can anybody recommend a good tire pressure gauge?...
You might want to try the EZAir by Accu-Gage...uses flexible hose with clip attachment.
That's the one I want. A buddy of mine has one and being able to fill the tire through the gauge is the ****. Can you tell me who sells them other than buying online?
I wanted to add this to my previous cycle but didn't have the money. I've heard mixed reviews. Can anyone who uses/used it comment on quality/usefulness/accuracy?
rjhammetter, that looks like the one. My brother clams itâs right on, infect it showed a problem twice, once with a nail and then a Leakey valve stem. Both were as he was leaving on a trip and a visual didnât show any issues. He tells me that he uses it to sort through his hand gages for the ones that are any good. He also indicated that sometimes you donât want to know how hot your tires are, maybe itâs just in AZ.
It is accurate, but honestly, if you have a bike with air-shocks, i would suggest getting a shock pump and giving it double-duty as an air pressure gauge.
Thanks to everyone for the replies. I ended up getting the HD gauge with the hose and tread depth meter. To those who suggested it, you were absolutely correct. This thing works really well - 1000 times better than what I was using before.
