A few weeks ago I asked in a post about Rush mufflers vs Bassanis for sound.I got one reply(thanks)I guess not allot of guys running Bassanis.Well I got the Bassani flipped scallops with 2" baffles.WOW!!! what an improvement.I know allot of guys are running the Rush and love them but I was never that impressed with the sound.The Bassanis have a lower deeper sound just a bit louder then the Rush 1.75".I got the Rush for the price and I know allot of guys running them.The Bassanis are about $200 moreuntil someone on the forum posted a link to shopsomersetmotorsports.com. I gave them a call and I got the Bassanis for $370 shipped.I just thought I'd put this out for anyone looking for a change or are thinking about Bassani mufflers.
NO I'm not affiliated with somerset or Bassani just some dumb bikers opinion.
Mike
PS and the Bassani Mufflers are the best looking IMHO. lol!!
Yep, you are one of the blacksheep for sure! I love mine and you won't really get a whole lot of feedback due to all the Reinharts here. I went with the flipped scallop cuts too. I removed the packing of the baffles and really woke em up. Great choice man and anyone looking for something different and a really mean sounding exhaust...BASSANIS!!
Yeppirs....then again, ah don't worry too much 'bout the next feller. He'll run what he likes, an' so will I. Ah jest like the throat of the Bassani's compared ta the others ah've heard.
Thanks to both of you Mike & Work. I've been considering Bassani's for awhile... first the slip-on's & now I'm thinking of the Road Rage 2 into 1 (black, of course)
Glad to hear you're both happy. Maybe we can make a new riding club..... B.O.G.
Count me in on the Bassani's. I have an 08 Street Glide, bone stock with the megaphone reverse cone mufflers/slip ons. I don't know if I will add the true dual power curve head pipes. I am very happy with the way these mufflers sound and perform. Very deep at idle,and fit and finish could'nt be better. Still on the fence for an air filter set up and fuel management system.. I always welcome advice from the very knowledgeable and helpful members on this forum.
Bassani Road Rage II" Black " of course. Put a set on the RG last weekend. Great sound, deep rumble. Very noticable throttle response improvement. I run the Stage 2 on my 07 RG. The 2 to 1 beefed up the low/midrange. Great fit, look great.
Joe,
I'm very happy with the V&H fuel pak on my bike.Do a search you should find alot of posts about the unit.Like anything else some love it and some dont.Any hi flo a/c will be better then stock.
Mike
I run the bassani duals on RG and the Mrs has
2-1 road rage,,,they are both owesome.
Going on the road for 3000-4000 next week.
I think I may go with the 2-1 when I get back......
Bassani = Awesome
