Stripped oil plug drain threads
I just did the same thing last week. First off your pan bolt is a 1/2-20 thread. Got to Napa and get a self taping one that is one size bigger. I think the person helping me said a Firebird plug is the same size.
When you get home put some Vaseline or other light grease on the taping part. The slowly turn it in a few turns and back it out. Remove the grease and replace it with fresh grease. Repeat till the new bolt starts to bottom out. (It will get hard to turn.)
Pull the bold out and grind off part of the end. You won't have a problem threading it back in till all remaining tap part is gone. Once your as deep in the threads as your original plug was, pull it out and grind it down to the original length. Take a triangular file and clean the end of the ground part so the threads look like a new bolt.
Then go to a store that sells rare earth magnets, small ones, like Radio Shack. Drill the center of your new plug and put the magnet in the hole andviola you have a new magnetized plug.
It took me about an hour to do this fix and after I got done, I flushed out the pan with some kerosene and then old oil. There was no hint of any metal in the drain pan.
