As for the O-rings, I wouldn't personally buy them from HD. They are about 2-3 bucks and they are only going to give you Buna-N O-rings. On my 07 Ultra, all three drain plugs use the same O-ring and the industry standard size is a -013. The problem with the Buna-N O-ring is they are only rated up to 230-240 F. That is probably fine for the most part, but you can put a Viton O-ring in place of it for literally pennies a piece and Viton will handle up to 400 F. I know you shouldn't ever see this (goodbye motor if you do), but it is real cheap insurance and they don't cost much to keep a sack of them around. For my money and the fact that I am in the seal & gasket business it only makes sense. You can pick these up at a good local seal house like Motion Industries, Kaman Industrial Technologies, Applied Industrial or Martin Fluid Power. I buy these wholesale and they are about .05 - .10 each. Very cheap for the best money can buy.
Thank you for the great input. After my first "rolling Thunder ride" I manage to find a maintenance manual for my bike. With this inputs and going through the manual I shouldn't have any problem changing the fluids in my bike. Thank you again.
