Default Riding Before Tuner is Installed

I have ordered air cleaner, slip-ons and am buying the SERT. My question is, to avoid dealer labor charges, I want to install the slip-ons and a/c then take it to the dealer for the SERT and dyno. Wil it run OK to do this? I only live about a 1/2 mile from the dealer so I could install the a/c right before I take it in and only have to ride it that far.
I know I can just install the slip-ons and ride it but will I do damage running it with the a/c on it for a 1/2 mile? The dealer wants $90 to install the a/c.

you'll be fine, just bring a fire extinguisher just in case. It's covered under warranty if you toast it. [sm=badbadbad.gif]

You won't damage the motor on a 1/2 mile ride.It will run a little lean and pop when backing off

I ran my Fat Boy with Big Radius True Duals for 500 miles and all was fine with no fuel management. I installed the Fuel Pak just as a back up. It ran like crap. I took it out and ran for 5000 with no fuel management. Traded it in for my SG.

Just don't get too deep into the throttle or lug the motor and you'll be fine.

Your motor will run a bit lean and therefore hotter than the norm. Short distances should be no problem.

Save yourself some bucks...do it yourself. It will run a little lean, may even slightly discolor the pipes (but I doubt it).

Oh yea. Install the pipes also and be sure they don't leak (use Locktite High-temp (Gold tube) sealer)
