it should take longer than 3 hours unless its a common set up some bad stealers will throw in a canned map ....15 minutes and charge ya 2 hours dyno time

There is a guy called Dyno Mike who does bike events, I took my Street Glide to him in Myrtle Beach. I had installed a Big Sucker, PC III and Rush / Fuel Moto slip-ons about three weeks prior. Fuel Moto ships their PC III with a custom map for whatever setup you have and one would think they would have it really dialed in for the package they sell.

I was very happy with the Fuel Moto set up but I saw what Dyno Mike had done for a friends SG with a similar set up so I gave it a try. He spent about an hour 20 on my bike and I spent $240.00. What I got was an incredibly smooth engine and a 10.2 boost in HP + a nice jump in Tq.

Sure a good dyno man is going to do it in less time but i don't think i would worry so much about how much time it takes and certainly would not rush anyone unless you are paying by the hour which some do. A fast time could mean canned map and maybe a few adjustments to stop any cough and belch and here ya go. Does it run good? Are you happy with the way it runs? Is your gas mileage within range of average? If yes to all then ride on but if no bring it back, have them do a run and show you the paper.

Does 5-9 hours sound a little excessive to tune a bike on the dyno?
Yes it does, 2-3 hours max.
