Default clutch adjustment

Have no play in clutch, kind of wants to creep ahead, first harley, somewhat mechanicaly inclined, looked at some instructions in do it yourself section, just drained primary, picked up primary gasket today, had a leak, seems like it would be the perfect time to adjust clutch, any suggestions, thanks in advance.

My friend, with all due respect YOU NEED A MANUAL! You'll need torque specs, etc. - and the ONLY way to properly work on ANY piece of equipment is to have the proper information!

Have a manual, for a '90 FLT, which is what the frame is, has 127 Ultima w/6 in 5 speed case, barnett scorpion clutch..., have had it a few months, learning as I go rather than run to dealer everytime I have an issue, which I have had a few w/this bike w/appx 1,300 miles on it since built, I bought it after the fact. Havn't minded the issue that much, helps me know my bike. I will try the search on adj Barnett clutch.

Just in case you don't know how to adjust the clutch, on the left side of the bike by the down tube is a rubber boot over the clutch cable. Slide the boot off of the adjuster and take a 1/2" and a 9/16" open end wrench and loosen the jamb nut and adjust it until there is quite a bit of slack in the cable. Take off the left passenger floorboard and remove the cover on the clutch. I beleive it's an 11/16" wrench you need to loosen the jambnut on the clutch pak. After you break it loose take an allen wrench that fits the screw in the center of the clutch, hold the jambnut from turning and screw in the allen screw until it just makes contact, then back it out 1/2 turn and jam the nut. Go back to your cable and adjust the slack out of your cable until you can pull on the cable at the clutch lever and make it move about 1/16' or maybe a little more. then lock your adjuster down and replace your boot. This is also a good time to lube your clutch cable before you get all the slack taken out of it and can get the needle on the oil bottle down inside the cable at the lever end. If you already know all this stuff,, please disregard

Thanks, when I posted I had forgoten that it was a Scorpion clutch, I see the Jamb nut and the allen head, I take it that it wants to creep a little when I start it up and the fact that I have no play is a good reason for me to adjust ? Thanks a lot.
