I agree with the ABS. I needed them last Wednesday coming home from work. I was doing about 65 on the Interstate in lane 3 of 4 getting ready to go into 4 (far right) to exit. The cager in front of me in the right lane wasn't paying attention when the lane in front of him slowed abruptly. He swerved into my lane about 50 yards in front of me, then over corrected and went broadside in front of me. I clamped down on the binders hard and safely slowed. He continued around and back into the right lane and then into the guard rail on the right shoulder. Luckily he and I are both ok. He smashed his rear bumper and I had to pull the seat out of my A$$, but other than that, all is well. I could kiss the man's A$$ that invented ABS.
Everybody here has their opinion including me..BUT... I tell you, ABS is a must, the first time you have a chance to ride onan empty, wet parking lot, and nail it,, all I can say is "WOW" very impressive, the control is just like they show it in the video. I will never ride with out it again. Even if it changes the delivery date ofm your bike it is worth waiting for.. Just my 2 cents worth ... Ride Safe.......Tim
I got a 09 so I could save more money for a good down payment. I asked him about msrp and he said he won't know till the dealers meeting. He thought it would stay the same though.
Your dealer is misinformed. We all learned right here on the forum from someone who had a cousin married to a sister of a guy who works in York with a friend in Milwaukeethat the new '09's are watercooled and are gonna cost at least $4000 more than the '08's.
