put a pc111 for 08s, bike runs good, until it get hot then starts backfiring
repeatedly at highway speeds, acts like it wants to stall at idle, cruising
at 35 and hitting throttle hard will make bike jerk like power was quickly cut and restored
changed to diff pc map no good. any advice would be appreciated
Hope you bought it from Jamie at FuelMoto. If you did, give him a call. If you did'nt, I would take it off and return it. Then call fuel moto and see if this is a common problem with the 08s.
Did you reset your throttle position? I know on 07s and earlier you have to, not sure about the drive by wire of the 08s.

I have the Fuelmoto set up on my 07 SG,customer service is everything and they are the best. There is a guy from Dynojet on one of these forums that has helped a number of riders with such PC issues. Maybe he'll jump in, help will be an e mail away.
It might act up when cold, but the instructions I followed were to adjust the throttle position (both closed and fully open) when the bike was hot. Run it for 15 to 20 min then adjust. Hope you get her figured out.
I gave up on the PC III after attempts with 2 different units. I've seen a post or two here from others not having success either. One of these previous posts mentioned the PC III having issues on ABS equiped bikes. Something about the possibility of RF signals from the ABS sensors causing issues.
