Bike will not start. The secuity does not appear to be armed (key not flashing). The headlight works so it looks like I am getting some power. Any ideas?

Tried to disarm the system manually, but it will no come up to plug in the PIN. With FOB not present, the key does not flash to indicate the system is on and shaking the bike does not trip the security.All indications of a bad battery minus the headlight will still come on... THANKS!

 

Does the horn blow?
Radio work?
Battery connections clean and tight?

Here's an obvious one - is the switch on the rh handlebar in the run position?

 

you get the normal lights when key is turned on?
if so neutral switch might be bad

just trying the plain sight stuff

 

Yeah I am all for the easy stuff first on tracking it down. Its my neighbors bike, so hopefully he will see this or I will catch up with him in the PM. He was charging up the battery to be sure on it last night. Thanks for the ideas!

 

Found problem,in addition to the security system being weird and also not being abel to be disarmed it,the engine light wouldn't come on but every thing else worked. Dealer to said totoggle the off-run switch a few times with the ignition switch off but that didn't help.Also got a new fob battery. I finally checked the ignition fuse and it was bad for some reason. Don't know if the battery being too low caused it to blow but so far it is good to go.
