A trip to Prescott?Seriously if thinking about this makes you nervous maybe you should look into a local indy to install. You do not want to get part way into this then go looking for someone to take over! Hope this goes well for you what ever way you choose.

Man i say go for it if you have the tools!Theres plenty of guys on here that have done bb kits and gear cam installs also you can google search as well.
I plan on going with GMR because there only a coule of hours drive from me.I would consider sending them yor cam plate and let them install the cams in it and pregap the rings to the pistons.Less headache and guess work.
Also i hear the quick install prods are easier to adjust than the standard. Are you taking the motor completelyout of the frame?
Get with steve (HDWrench)on here.

I want to do the install myself if i can scrounge up he tools!!!Take pics and keep us posted!

Go for it.. I have NEVER worked on the motor, did everything else, took a chance, took my time now I have a 95", S/S 510g cams, adj. p-rods and I did it all. My bike runs great and your's will too. For every ? you have we'll have too many answers. Now get out there, jack that thing up and get to it.. Steve

Take the motor out of the bike, Take it to steve or ship it to him.
Ask him to check everything and let him do the build. Get a price. If I had the money I would probley have the crank replaces to a stroker crank and have it tig welded. Yer motor will be a bigger size now with the new crank. Ask steve.
Then you will have a warranty on the motor and a better build.
All you have to do is put the motor back in .
Got a buddy that already went threw this.
