Hard Bag question
Have the glass, ABS, Nylon hard bags changed any over the years as far as mounting and fitting different styles of touring bikes? What years will fit the newer bikes, and how far back can you use the older bags?

Well, the saddlebag bottom and lid for my '04 police model EG have part numbers from 1993--so you should be good going back that far.
Some guys with RK Customs IIRC have issues with hard bag lids and stock seats.
If you want a definitive aswer, contact HD Customer Service--perhaps they will research the question for you.

I also believe Hpingman is correct, 1993 and later will fit newer tourers.
I know that they were made of fiberglass up till... a couple of years ago (?) and then I think as you said they went to a plastic composite or something.
I bought a set off ebay recently that are being colormatched to my bike, and they are 1993's and they fit my '06 Rk custom.
