OK, ready to put new rubber on the '06 Ultra. Changing to chrome rims so going with BW tires. Now the question is:
Who mkaes the best tires.
Performance, endurance, traction, and ride.
I just bought a new back tire. If you don't mind a little ride from Conroe, go to Pasadena Discount Motorcycle Tires on the corner of Spencer and Shaver. They are fast and cheaper than any of the dealerships.
They told me that the Dunlops were the best. The next best selling they had were Metzler. His comment was if your getting 10,000 or better, and are happy with the ride, why change. I had 13,500 on the stock dunlop and was just getting into the yellow on my tire gauge. Oh yeah, it was a black wall.
The stock Dunlops on my Road Glide have 11,000 miles on them and they look great,I run the Metzler Me 880s on a 99 Indian Chief it's lighter than the Harley and I got 12,000 miles on the first rear tire. I think the Dunlops are the best bet for the Harley.
I agree with the Dunlop E3's.I have them on my 05 Classic and love them.I got them in Grosebeck,TX at LP cycle.350 drive out,if you pay cash.Pasadena Discount Tire is also a good place to gettum.
