So, here's the story: Brought my '07 RG to the dealer because my CB was not working, I could hear transmissions but when I tried to speak nothing was transmitted. Tried a different headset but still nothing. They have had the bike for 1 1/2 weeks. they called me on Saturday to "come pick it up" we cant figure out whats wrong and need to order a special tool to hopefully diagnose it. So I was going away for the weekend I told them to just keep the bike, But asked why they haven't just removed the radio and CB and replaced it (all Warranty), He said that it does not work that way. They still need the Master Technician to look at the bike. oh and every time they call me its only because I called them. I have get to receive an unsolicited phone call. Here it is Monday at NOON and no phone call to let me know when they expect the "special TOOL" should I call them again or just wait??????? Sorry to go on and on but it is in the 90's in NY this week and I WANT TO RIDE.

RE: Am I wrong?
I guess they have their 'protocol' to follow and some times ya gotta live with it, or go into your own pocket! I'd just ride it as is and have them let me know when to bring it in for the repair, after they have their 'special' tool of course. \\; I'm sure it'll run just fine wothout the CB
I would suspect that given the time of year, your problem may be getting put to the bottom of the pile of paying jobs. I would suggest that you pick up the bike, tell them to call you when they have the 'special tool' and then find a different dealer or audio shop.
