Trying to decide which way to go on a \\;\\\\\\;bone stock 2007 FLHR.
[ul][*]XiED = 13.8 to 1 AFR[*]O2 IED = 14.2 to 1 AFR[/ul]
I get that the XiED richens the mixture more\\\\\\; I assume this will impact fuel economy. \\;\\\\\\; I also get that \\;\\\\\\;richer = cooler\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\;will \\;XiED run noticeably cooler than O2 IED? \\;\\\\\\; How about peformance?
 \\;\\\\\\;
Any thoughts are appreciated.

Just put on my 14.2's a few days ago. \\; Haven't checked mpg yet, but it does seem cooler. \\; As you are thinking, I too was worried that mpg would be lower with a richer air-fuel, and the X's are a good bit more expensive.
Talked to Steve at night rider and he talked me into the XIED. \\; Said I would be happier no matter what I did regarding exhaust and intake. \\; Installed them tonight and they sure seem to make the bike more responsive. \\; I'll be checking the mileage this weekend.
I installed the XiED's onto my new '08 RKC. I put them on with about 100 mi on the bike and noticed a significant reduction in heat. I hadn't tested the miles with them off, but as long as I am driving normal, I'm getting about 42MPG between city/highway. I only have about 600 mi on the bike right now, been raining a lot in the mid-west lately.
My Rush 1.75's are getting installed tomorrow, so I'll let you know if it affects mileage any more.
Just got back from a ride after installing the XIED on my 08EGC. \\; The bike seems to run better and had areading of 291 deg at the rear cylinder when checked by a IR thermometer.  \\;I bought the thermometer after the install so I donât have a baseline. \\; Do you think  \\;291 is better than stock. By the way it is 90+ deg today.
I thought I was happy with the IED's on my 08 RG, rode about 2,000 miles with them installed.
 \\;
Last week I installed the XiED's. Wow!! Definitely hot lick.
