Been looking to make a purchase on a new bike. Found a 2008 Electra Glide Classic for sale. It has 1120 miles. ABS, Securtiy, and Cruise. Owner has added docking kit for tour pack, chrome forks, and chrome calipers. He has not made any mods to the exhaust or engine.Asking price is 20,123. Offered 18,000. The lowest I can get him is 19,200. Seems like an o.k. deal. Any thoughts on this.
That is a pretty good price and deal. \\; Does it include the extended warranty? \\; Did he purchase any additional services when he made the original purchase?
Still has factory warranty until April,2010. The bike is two tone color and with the Abs, Security, and Cruise it would cost 21,000 new. Still basically a new bike. Would not have to pay freight and dealer prep which adds about another 700. or so dollars savings. If I add everything up that bike would cost new with options, frt, dealer prep, and modifications I figure I would be saving about 4000. on this bike vs a brand new one. So what am I waiting for DUH! \\; I better go get this one.
It would cost you several thousand more to get a new one. \\; $21,000 is asumming you could get it at MSRP. \\; Used bikes especially a 2008 are not selling at all right now. \\; $19,000 is not a bad price at all. \\; You are probably the only one who has made an offer on the bike.
