Just go ride and enjoy yourself. None of the VTX's are in the same league as a ultra. Not the retro/s, n, c, or f model.
I have several bikes and one of them is a vtx 1800. Great bike but not as comfy as a ultra. I get around 44 mpg on my X and and 45-48 on my Ultra.
Go ride and do not worry if he is faster just enjoy yourself.

Whats the point to this post? one is a 1800 cc cruiser, the other is a 1500 cc touring bike...are u drag racing? \\; do u want to know if u should bet him? 2 totally different bikes, and he will smoke your ***...hope this helps.

VTX will run 130+! And it is pretty stadle at any speed. Good luck! We call our friends "The Edsel"
