Hondas VTX 1800 - Is a killer (fast) bike as is the GL1800 Honda GOLDWING (have owned them both) - But no matter what - They DONT have the SOUL as the HD has..
There are 3 kinds of bikers....
 \\;
1 - Those that ride Harleys
 \\;
2 - Those that wish they rode Harleys
 \\;
3 - Those that are in denial
 \\;
See which one your buddy is...

nogood \\; \\; \\; o~`o
 \\;my only thought about harley and honda is this, go to the \\; honda dealership and try to get a major part for a honda 350
then try to get a major part for the same year harley sportster see whitch one you can ride next week
I had a 1800 VTX before getting my 2007 Ultra Classic.... \\; Both are great bikes. \\; My Ultra needs a few things that the Honda has - and the Honda needs a few things the Ultra has. \\; I put 26,000 miles on the Honda in less than 3 years and have 15588 on the Ultra in the first year.

Hello Dirtdobber.....

RJ \\;
 \\; \\; \\; \\; \\; \\;&n bsp\\; A stock Honds VTX 1800 will outrun a CVO Dyna in the 1/4 mile according to a comparison I read, not by much but it will.
 \\; But it doesn't feel nearly as balanced as the Harley. Nor does it look as good, even though the sport version ain't bad.
I owned a 03 1800 then bought the Ultra. \\; The power of the 1800 was phenominal and the Ultra doesn't hold a candle to my old bike. \\; The Ultra is much more comfortable for the long ride and the 1800 was horrible at slow speeds due to being top heavy. \\; What I do miss with the 1800 is not getting my damn legs fried in slow traffic as me and the wife did this weekend in Austin. \\; Plus the 1800 never had the heat issue with the bike wanting to cut out when taking off due to heat for stop light to stop light in heavy traffic\\; that was pretty scarry.
