Default Fairing Wings

Has anyone mounted the 08 adjustable wings/vents on an 07 or earlier? Looks as though it would only require a hole drilled at the top mounting point.. Well anyone!!!!

Why would you do that ? The 08's have 4 holes the 07's and earlier three holes get the right ones? I put em on my 08 Dresser with the right ones and the screws go into threaded brass inserts on&nbsp\\;the inner fairing! If you drilled another hole how would the added srew&nbsp\\;stay in?? I dont look to make extra work or start trouble for myself!! Or is it just me? Bill

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&n bsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; I have the other ones # 57804-07 on my 07 Classic. They screw in existing holes, no drilling needed and I think they work fine.

Yes, just yesterday, in fact.&nbsp\\; 3 screws holding them on right now, I'll drill out the 4th and put a nut on the backside next time I pull the fairing off.&nbsp\\; They look good and function well!

You would do that because the '08 models are a much better design than the '07's IMHO
Great question
I believe it has been done
Very interested in the details

Is there any way to permanently install the 4th nut so you can install and take off the wings without removing the outer fairing

I have them on my 07 ultra they mount just fine using the 3 holes you just dont have a bolt on the top. They are nice and tight that way dont see a reason for a 4th bolt. I like them you can direct the air real nice.
