Mine cracked at 13,000. Ran fine, just a little hard to start.

Open your gas cap with the engine running and&nbsp\\;a less than full tank. If it's bad, you should see it spraying in the tank.
&nbsp\\;
No spray, it should be ok.

And if you do end up with the problem, the filter shell that you need is backordered and a biotch to get right now!

I already have a post on this problem and you guys are right. It's a bummer when it goes out. Because for me it stopped running immediately and that was that. No fun pushing an '08 105 Anniversary Street Glide down a four lane road with rush hour traffic and everyone coming at you.

HD should recall this part before someone is killed.

4500 miles on my 08 FLHR. No problems at all. December 07 build date. January 08 delivery and pickup.

I'm planning a solo week-long trip myself in about a month. Probably have 6K or thereabouts on it then. I'm just gonna go and not worry about it. If the fuel filter housing (or anything else) goes while I'm gone, well, it goes. I'll deal with it if it happens.

Like the MOCO says, we don't do fear!
