Default Detatchable Tourpak for Ultra Classic

How much of a&nbsp\\;pain is it to install a detatchable tourpak kit on an Ultra Classic? Do the antenna wires need to be re-routed? I did a search and couldn't find any info.

Default RE: Detatchable Tourpak for Ultra Classic

I have an 05 Ultra that I did the detatchable tour pack on. It turned out great and I like it so much I have not put the tour pack on this summer. My wife likes it with the detatchable back rest that I also bought. What I did was put a hidden antenna in the fairing and I removed the wire only for the CB and put it under the left side, side cover since I do not use the CB. The wires for the intercom system, speakers left and right, running lights, tail lights, turn signals I cut and installed 4 plugs under the seat to make the removal very easy. The hardest part of the removal is to pull the seat! Pull the seat and unplug 4 connectors and it's off and when it's on it looks stock as I leave the antenna's on it and everything works except the CB. With the tour pack off it ride like another bike. It took me a long time to figure it all out as to how I wanted to do it. I like things just so! This was a great upgrade for me. Good luck with it
Steve
