Yes. I would much rather leave the equipment on the bike taking it to the dealer than to have to ask them to reset the AFVs and not fire the engine back up until I put the O2 eliminators back on before I left their premises.
If you run the engine with any components which do not precisely match the airflow characteristics programmed into your ECU (with the current generation of feedback engine controls) you will be changing an auto-tuning factor in the programming which controls fuel delivery in all cases and it will become wrong when you put the PC (back) on. Unless, by chance, you had been running that way before getting the PC and the map in your PC is the result of a custom tune. Even then, it is possible that the AFVs would change relative to that time if the weather is much different now from then.
If it is running to your satisfaction now, do not mess with it.
Well i had the bike at the dealer all day on Friday and they said the connection to the Coil was coming loose because of vibration, they pushed the wire back on and the bike was running fine, i got about 20 miles from the dealer and the stuttering started again, I brought it back to the dealer and they replaced the wires wit Screaming eagle wires and everything is working fine so far. I did not put the PC3 back on and i think i might ride it the way it is for a week or so and see if the problem happens again. If it happens again they might have to replace the ECM maybe.
i would love to put my Powercomander back on the bike but the issues only started a month after i installed the PC3 so i am a little paranoid about it now.
I am leaving on the 11th for a 2 week trip to the East COAST and i really don't want to have issues with bike when i am that far away from home.
