Well, I've had my 08 Ultra for a little over 2 months now and have 5k miles on it.
I've seen some issues in the forum about the fuel pump.
When filling the tank, I never insert the hose nozzle more than an inch or two.
Don't want to hit anything inside the tank with it.
Guess I'll stop rambling. Thanks for reading this mess.

What's the deal with inserting the fuel nozzle in an inch or two? \\; Have'nt heard that issue before.

I've laughed at all my partners over the years for dropping their tuna boats. That was until I bought my Tuna boat. I've quit replacing the brake handles cause I keep bending em when she falls over. Just dropped it in Oregon a couple of weeks ago when a cager screwed me up at the top of a ramp. Good thing my ol' lady understands "Bail Out" or she'd of ended up under her. Stop, Drop &\\; Roll......
I got chased through a section of highway in Tennessee near the dragon by a semi tractor. \\; I had my hands full pushing my Road King all over that twisty road. \\; We came out the other end and it was really exciting. \\; I didn't know that a bagger could run like that. \\; Sure and glad she did.
 \\;
When I picked mine up from the dealer in 05 I felt like I was sitting on Dragon ready to take flight, so that's what I named her, The Dragon.
I had the same problem when I first got my RKC. The bike kept wanting to fall over evey once in a while when I came to a stop. When I finally hurt my knee trying to stop it from falling one day, I decided to figure out what I was doing wrong. After a little practice, I found the problem happened when I stopped using the front brake with the wheel turned. I quit using the front brake below 5mph and practice the habit of trying to keep the wheel strait when I stopped and I haven't had anymore problems. I hadn't rode a bike in 25 years, then went got a RK, so I had a lot to learn.
I bet there are THOUSANDS of guys who could not put even a small bike through that course like that LEO did. \\; I am getting a lot better since I got Ride like a Pro. Makes me feel good when I see a guy on a megabuck chopper duckwalking a turn in a parking lot, knowing I can ride inside the circle he's making. \\;
You should only use your back brake at slow speeds. Use your front brake and back brake together at high speeds.
 \\;
When you start slowing down at an intersection \\;release the front brake and just \\;use your back \\;brake. Keep your eyes looking straight ahead and \\;when you stop put your left foot down first.
 \\;
If you use the front brake at slow speeds while turning, the ground will suck you up like a vacuum. Never use your front brake while turning! If you must stop quickly while turning straighten out your bike and then use the front brake. \\;

Man all these posts and NOone has hit the nail on the head!!! \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\; USE THE FRONT BRAKE!! it is 70% of your stoppin power! Your going down cause you have the front end slightly turned while your stopping. \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\; and it only has to be very slightly turned from centered the last few feet and the weight will shift to the turned side and if your not ready down you go!. \\;\\\\\\;
 \\;\\\\\\;you can practically lock the front end up and not drop the bike if you have the bike straight up with yur weight centered and the front end pointing straight ahead!!!
 \\;\\\\\\; your sportbike was in the 400lb range and you could hold the stoped weight of the bike going over cause it was so light. \\;\\\\\\;But the \\;\\\\\\;800lbs ElectraGlides \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\; are unforgivin the slightest turn of the bars and she will throw her heavy weitht towards the ground..
 \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\; in emergency stops in a \\;\\\\\\;curve,  \\;\\\\\\;you straighten up the bike straighten up the bars and nearly lock that thing down. \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\; the KEY is to get the bike straightened up before stoppin!! \\;\\\\\\;
 \\;I run and work out a couple times a week and work my legs alot. Maybe some of y"all might want to try it and the "beast" might not be so heavy!!
Funny you should say ya dropped it 3 times..A friend of mine Bouhgt an 08 Electra Glide Classic and has dropped it 3 times in 400 miles..He thought there was something wrong with it and lhad me ride it home after a spill and I also thought there was a Problem with it..The bike would shake alot in the front end when stopping and down shifing into first at low speed. It made me wonder if that was a normal thing?? My 07 Softail does'nt shake at all..He had the dealer pick it up and they say theres nothing wrong?? I want a new bagger now and wonder am I gonna have the same problem?? Is this normal and what can I tell him??And ive told him about the experienced rider course that I took and He swares it not his skills...
 \\;\\\\\\;
Your softail is counterbalanced (96B), his EGC is rubber mounted (96A). \\;\\\\\\; It's normal.
 \\;\\\\\\;
What I meant To say was the front end of the EGC Shakes as if it had a tire out of balance or something??? Handle bars and everything shook.. I thought that was strange..
