So on my 08 ultra, driving around town, I hear a clunk some where up in the front end. \\; Not every time, about 1 in 5 times \\;I go to stop. \\; It seems to happin as I pull in the clutch and apply the front brake. \\; I have checked every fastener on the forks and brakes. \\;
Any Ideas?
I am getting the exact same noise. My bike was at the dealer for a week and the service manager finally took it for a ride and said he heard it and was going to call HD directly to see if there was a problem. About 1 outta 5 for me too. Anyone else having the same issues? I have put 1000 since then.
Do you have floating rotors?
 \\;
I had floating rotors on my '06 and they would clunk most times the first time I used them in the morning, but then were silent the rest of the day.
 \\;
I havn't had the same noise on my '07, but I also have not ridden in almost 6 months either.... damn desert...
Yep same issue, just installed the floaters two weeks ago thats when it started. Just about to post when I seen this, will get the head bering checked anyway though.
I have it to but thought it might be the front brake pads hitting the pins when applying the brakes lightly only at slow speeds like when I enter the garage \\; \\; \\; I will wait to see what others find out
