I get those big freezer 2.5 gallon bags. Put all days clothes for myself and wife then I sit on the bag to get all the air out and seal it shut. It's about an inch and half thick. My wife labels it and when we get where we're spending the night we just pull out the bag for the next day and then use it to put our dirty clothes in that bag. You can get lots of room...we've traveled into Mexico for up to seven days and always have plenty of packing space. We use the tour pak for light stuff like shoes, gloves, rain gear, and anything you need to reach quickly.

Look for compression stuffsacks from an outdoors store.&nbsp\\; Cabelas or Areostich have them.&nbsp\\; Roll each set of clothes seperate.&nbsp\\; Don't spare the ziplock bags.&nbsp\\; I've lived off my bike for as long as 6 weeks.&nbsp\\; Don't forget that there are few places you can ride that don't have clothing, toothpaste, deoderant etc.....

Good advice so far. After years of doing htis stuff and many, many road trips, here's my two-cents.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
You have the right bike for the mission. Get the Saddle Bag liners that slip out and you can carry them into the hotel room. One for her and the other for you. Heavy stuff ont he bottom - klighter on top.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
You can roll some tools, parts, etc in rags and lay them under the full saddle bag liners. As long as you do not have way too much stuff they are somewhat compiant about shaping around a couple hard items.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Put communal stuff and stuff you will need throughout the day in the tour pack. Things like cameras, a sweatshirt, medicine/first aid kit&nbsp\\;and general what-if, need it before retiring for the night type stuff. Put that int he tour pack.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
On top of the tour pack (hopefully you have the little rack) goes you raid gear -easily accessible and at the ready- quick.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
One days clothes rolled in plactis bags is a good idea but sometimes you'll go through more underwear and oscks than you will jeans - if you know what I mean.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
When I travel, I will gather up all of my out-of-style, torn, tattered and generally ready for the trash clean clothes in my closet and, as suggested above discard them along the way which, BTW, leaves room for the new shirts and **** you will invariably puick up along the way.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
Be safe - enjoy!

I pack heavy items first and on the bottom equally distibuting the weight in the saddlebags and ending up with all the lighter weight items on top. Nothing more dangerous than a top heavy ride.[sm=biker.gif]

Excellent reminder and so true!

&nbsp\\;
+2: Coleman Stove/lantern/air bed/air chairs&nbsp\\;&amp\\; inflator/percolator/softside cooler etc. all get put in the bags.[/align]

Like the others said, pack a couple days worth and use a laundromat.
I end up with a bunch of new dealer HD T-shirts on trips anyway.
