installing headlamp and passing lamp rings?
I am thinking about doing this mod on Monday. I wanted to know of those who have already made this change if there was any hidden trick in doing this. I think I read some place awhile back that getting things to fit flush was difficult, but I can't see that potential threat. \\;

HD instructions say to install new headlight ring over stock ring. If you do that there will be a large gap at bottom.

Remove old ring and bend light bucket flange outwards in 5-6 places, then install new ring. There will be no gap.

I just did mine and it was easy. the headlight ring snaps over the stock ring. On the blinkers you have to install the rubber O-ring between the lens and the housing. The slight gap created is what the new trim ring snaps into. The passing lamps are just a one for one swap from the old ones to the new.

All went well except for the gap on the Headlamp ring install. Everything fit good behind old ring but there is a gap on the right side between ring and headlamp about a 1/4in. I don't know what to do to solve this but if I must live with it then I will. Any suggestions?
