Default clutch adjusted no change

My clutch is engageing way out from the handle bar.So sunday I adjusted it using the HD sm.All went well ,but there is no change where it starts to engage,I&nbsp\\;would it to start about an inch from the handle bar.Did I do something wrong

I adjusted mine twice and it also stayed the same. Im also wondering how to get engagement around 1 inch from grip

I loosend the lock nut an turned the adjuster in .It now grabs &nbsp\\;about an inch from the bar but I have a large amount of slack at the lever.&nbsp\\; hmm'

You first loosened the cable adjuster and then adjust the clutch screw. If you have the clutch adjuster screw&nbsp\\;set correctly. You&nbsp\\;need to go back and tighten&nbsp\\;the cable adjuster. The clutch lever has a little bit of play at the end of the travel.
