be realistic. stroke makes torque not cubes. if you do this upgrade and keep stock heads map setup and injectors without a cam upgrade&nbsp\\;then you will be sorley dissapointed. so as far as being free its far from it. having said that if you match the heads and cam upgrade injectors to the new jugs and pistons you will have a sizeable diff in power torque and hp

But by adding these parts while the labor and other parts are free, he is ahead of the game for future upgrades.&nbsp\\; While it will not be a powerhouse with the extra cubes, I believe it is worth it for the cash outlay.

Yes and change the cam as well. You will need to get a fuel manager, if you don't already have one, and have it dyno tuned.

Do it!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its def a difference.&nbsp\\; You WILL be able to tell the difference in the seat of the pants dyno. I do at least one a month. with a set of cams, good pipes, a tuner "fuel managment system" you should be sitting in the mid to high 80 hp range.&nbsp\\; maybe more depending on your set up. To give you a idea I paid $80 for jugs to be punced out and 200 for the pistons for my 103. You say you know the dealer maybe he will give you the parts at his cost.&nbsp\\; At whatever decesion you make i hope you enjoy your bike and ge the problem fixed.

I know it's not apples to apples, but I had a similar experience with my '08 Road Glide. When the engine had to be rebuilt under warranty, I took advantage of my dealer's suggestion that I could upgrade from the 96 inch stocker to the 103 inch big bore kit for just the cost of the parts. I kept everything else stock (cams, pipes) with the exception of the SE Intake and ECM download. I can definitely notice an improvement in performance despite the stock cams and pipes. And it gave me a good platform for future upgrades.

Will they still do it - given the tech said he can't see anything wrong?&nbsp\\; If so, would do it.&nbsp\\; New jug's and pistons approx $500-600.

So they can't find anything visibly wrong? Well, one quart every thousand miles tells me SOMETHING is wrong, even though they can't find a reason. Tell 'em to fix it and get the motor work done while you're at it.
