Default Lowering 2007 StreetGlide

I lowered the rear of my Streetglide with bracket on the rear shocks. Twice now the rear tire has rubbed the wiring harness on top of the inside of the rear fender. What does everyone else do to fix this problem? Thanks

Your glide is already 1" lower than stock, what brand brackets did you use, and does it only rub riding two up

The bracket are TWR from ebay. Yes it rubs riding 2 up. With the brackets my feet are flat thats the only reason I put them on. I've seen other bikes lower than mine with no problems I guess.

how much air do you have in the shocks? I have the same setup and have not rubbed with a passenger. I usually run about 38 in the rear shocks

There is a rubber/foam/whatever shroud that surrounds the wiring harness that comes with an adhesive backing that glues the wiring harness to the underside of the rear fender. You could get that shroud from the dealer then relocate the wiring harness to the crease underneath the fender where the top and the side of the fender meet, away from the path of the rear tire.
I have an air ride system and after 10k miles (sometimes too low evidently with a passenger) it was starting to wear thru the shroud. My mech at the dealer recommended the relocation and it solved the problem.
Good luck,
Primo
P.S. Feel free to PM me if the explanation was not thorough enough.

Thanks primo!! That's a good idea for the harness. Had to order the harness today and when I get it I will try to relocate harness if long enough. I run about 10 to 40 psi on the shocks.

I put on a set of the progressive 440's that are 11.5 eye to eye, And I sent my seat to Allen at mean City&nbsp\\;cycles here on HDF and&nbsp\\;he reworked it for me.&nbsp\\;I'm 5'8 with a 30" inseem and I can sit flat footed with sneakers on, and it also helped with the buffeting from the 4'&nbsp\\;windsheild. Just my .02&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;T&nbsp\\;
