New Harley rider. Bought an '05 Road King and have noticed how hot it gets on my upper legs. \\; Does anyone have any thoughts on the electric blowers? \\; Are they worth the price? \\; Thanks

The concept is good, but the HD fans are very expensive. Aftermarket units like the LeNale have questionable reliability but are cheaper. I would try addng an oil cooler to bring down peak oil temperatures, which should help noticeably.
I've an '05 RK classic\\; I put the heat shields (I used the HD ones) on and it made a world of difference. \\; I am in Florida and no problems now.
Try COOL THIGHS! Not too expensive, they work and there is NO installation.  \\;Best part is that you can take them from bike to bike easily!!! [sm=signs003.gif]
I installed a fan by Lenale engineering. \\; I have had no problems with it except the little horn bracket broke off so I just used the relocation kit and went with the stock horn. \\; When I am in traffic I reach down and put the fan on. \\; As I start moving more I turn it off. \\; I also have an oil cooler and use all synthetic. \\; Here's a link to my bike:
