&nbsp\\;I am wondering if this is normal for the New Bikes to Idle this High,&nbsp\\; My New FLHTC Idles at 1000 RPM, is this Normal for these Bikes? It seems that it is High and it has excess vibration, way too much. Can someone chime in on this, this is My First New Harley, My 01 Sportster 1200 Idles at 950-1000 Rpm.

This is going to sounds crazy, but turn the ignition on and off three times.&nbsp\\; I have a 08 FLHR and had this problem.&nbsp\\; The dealer told me that this resets the electronic throttle and that it should go back to normal after you've done that.&nbsp\\; It worked for mine.

 

&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; What year is new, 08?&nbsp\\; If it has the throttle by wire then the idle can get screwed up by you shutting the bike off with the rpm's being elevated.&nbsp\\; The computer then remembers this as being the idle speed.&nbsp\\; Do a search in the forums for this problem, the answer to reset it is turn the key on/off about four times or something like that.&nbsp\\; HTH
