I also do my own work. Had Vandervest Harley change oil once and they forgot to tighten my oil drain plug.
Now&nbsp\\;I just do all my own work. Funny how we get nonpro work at pro pricing. Bud of mine dropped off his 08 Ultra over a week ago for fuel issues under warranty and hasn't got it back yet. Lost a week and half so far. Thats why I also do my own work, screw the over pricing and **** poor service! I can do that to myself by working on it drunk.LOL Which I would never do.

If I remember right the 05 use that purple brake fluid and it is not too bad if spilled on the paint.

Some of the dealers do care - at least I would like to think so.&nbsp\\; Had a good experience this weekend - simple tire replacement (tire was off the bike).&nbsp\\; But, dealer only had two techs and I was third in line.&nbsp\\; Came back after two hours and was tire was ready - and mounted correctly and balanced.

Its the mangers not jumping up someones *** when they screw up.It has to start at time of hiring what is expected of them in the way of cleanness, test drives and doing it right as if its their one bike.Bet that Harley tech is proud to wear his labeled uniform to get a beer or what not.He needs to be that way at work also.
