I put the dual instrument on my '07 Heritage and immediately removed it. Even though Harley told my dealer that I wouldn't lose any features, I lost the clock and&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;2nd trip odometer. I also didn't like the fact that the odometer showed constantly even with the ignition off.
Unless yours was different than all the rest of them, you did not lose the 2nd trip odometer, just the clock. Of course, you gained a tachometer, so I think the tradeoff was well worth it especially since most of us wear a watch and/or carry a cellphone.

the speedo/tach I put on my 2007 Fat Boy worked great on the day I installed it and was still going strong when I sold the bike over a year later.

I took the Police tach off mine and put the combo on. I found one on ebay from a H.D. dealer. Went to Classic H.D. in Traverse City and they matched the price! No problems with it!

Been thinking about this, and found one on ebay.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Anybody have any experience with this product?&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; It's a lot better price than the HD unit, but I'm seriously wondering about quality.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; I seemed to get burned every time I try to save some $$, but I know there are some good deals out there.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Advise?

Let me save you some pain......I have the very same V-Twin, Speedo/Tach P/N 39-0651, from the very same eBayer, for the very same buy it now price $199. I purchased it last March. It's still not working properly. I'm still waiting for V-Twin to respond to my e-mail. Don't do it!! it's not worth it, it'l cost more in aggrevation than you'll save. The seller is some what adversarial. You can't order it with matching mileage, you need special installation instructions, which they won't send with the item or e-mail them, they'll only fax them to you. Then, once it's finally installed, your self canceling turn signals will no longer self cancel and the engine will stall once it has warmed up to normal operating temp. You'l have to purchase, Speedometer/tachometer Retro-fit P/N 74468-03 special order from HD for $24.00. Save yourself the aggrevation. Google ZANOTTI HD parts. You'll find the actual HD Speedo/Tach with the correct part number for $100 less than what Harley sells it for. And it's HD. no instalation problems... exact milage, less aggrevation, I wish I did....PM me if you want to know more.
