Well, mine is stock as far as the basic Ultra is concerned. No Stage I or oil cooler, no PCIII, stuff like that. But the dealer did add a chromed front forks kit, chrome handlebar grips and switches/housing, the Tour Pak and saddlebar LED wings before I bought it. So far I've only added the Wings collection doo dads and mirrors, midframe heat deflectors, and J&amp\\;M shorty antennas. Oh, and the isolated drive system too.
&nbsp\\;
I am completely satisfied with the way the&nbsp\\;Ultra runs. I guess I got lucky because I've no heat issues, no pinging, no noisy trans (though the lifters are bit clicky). Everything works as it should, I get 42-45 mpg and it is comfortable on the long ride.
&nbsp\\;
But then, I am retired and don't have a lot of money left either. I might buy a tour pak organizer and adjustable wind deflectors, but that's about it.

Hey a99myata,
&nbsp\\;
I asked this same question a while back and, like you, got essentially no meaningful answers.&nbsp\\; I can say that all 6 H-D's I've owned were either factory stock from the get-go and kept that way or I spent extra money to return the used ones to that condition.&nbsp\\; Every one was reliable and a pleasure to ride.&nbsp\\; As for "making it yours", that huge initial cash outlay and your name on the title should be enough, don't you think??&nbsp\\; If it ain't the way you like it as-is, then just don't get it.
&nbsp\\;
Just buy it &amp\\; ride it.&nbsp\\; When it comes time to sell it or trade it in, all that bling, and all those mods and options are&nbsp\\;worthless anyway and usually actually lower the value of the bike.&nbsp\\; Also, all that bolt-on stuff is not covered by standard insurance in case of a total loss.
&nbsp\\;
It seems to me that the rarest and most "individual" bikes are the ones that are just left alone and injoyed.
&nbsp\\;
Wishing you the best and stay safe.
&nbsp\\;
John

Resistance is futile! Step away from the HD shop! Holster the checkbook and credit cards! You will be drawn to the dark side. customizing is addictive
