08 Fuel filter canister poll

My local dealer here in Los Angeles tells me the part # 62229-08A is the SAME one thats in the bike now and NOT an updated part...can anyone that has replaced one with this part # describe the difference in material or any obvious differences.

Mine failed with 8100 miles on it, it went slow and teased me. \\; Sometimes it would start and sometimes it would not. \\; My dealer identified it right off the bat and had it fixed in 1 day

I just pulled my filter shell. \\; Took about ten minutes to get out. \\; I can see stress cracks in the corners of the locking tabs. \\; I've been taking pics along the way and will post them up. \\; Gotta run out and pick up the new filter shell.

Changed mine last week. After seeing the old one and installing the new one, I think its not if it fails, its when it fails. Took exactly 1 hour and 2 beers to complete.
