Default Street Glide rear facia on an Ultra questions

Has anyone installed the street glide rear facia on and ultra using their stock fender?
&nbsp\\;
I'm going to order the kit but I'm confused as to how many holes will show when I pull off the lower bumper and running light.
&nbsp\\;
Pics would be great!
&nbsp\\;
I'm sure there is many people with the same question.
&nbsp\\;
FYI, do not buy the kits off ebay for $250.&nbsp\\; You can get a new set up for $160ish from Harley

You will have three holes.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; A quarter size hole for the fender tip light wiring, and two smaller ones for the screws that attach the fender tip light housing to the fender.
&nbsp\\;
You will also have a wiring issue for the LED in the facia since it uses the TP's wiring harness for power on a stock SG.&nbsp\\; Just a heads up that this won't be a plug and play installation electrically if you plan to retain the TP lighting.
&nbsp\\;
And you are aware that the saddlebag&nbsp\\;guard rails won't work with the facia unless the facia is modified.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
Good luck with your project.

I was afraid of that.
&nbsp\\;
Anyone have any creative ideas of covering up the holes?

Remove, weld, repaint. Why halfass it? Isn't your bike worth it?

You would come out cheaper to buy a take off fender and then list yours on ebay or here as a complete unit when you are done. Good Luck I have ordered the stuff to put it on my RG but havent received it yet.

The street glide facia can be installed. You need to get a kit breakdown for P/N 91067-07 and have the dealer order the chrome plated ABS housing from it. It can be used as is (chrome) or be painted. I have installed 3 of these on bikes and did not have an issue with the S/B rails. Using another FLHX as a sample, I made 2 cardboard templates (one fer each side) of the 6 holes that must be drilled into the fender to mount the facia. The wiring is not a plug and play, but is pretty simple. Only 2 wires go to the facia's LED (power and ground).

I have taken a long hard look at all the touring models and they all seem to have the exact same rear fender. Please correct me if I am wrong.
&nbsp\\;
The way it looks to me is.........
&nbsp\\;
The streetglide has the dragger light. The plate is below the rear tail light (using the&nbsp\\;tip light hole). and there are the tight bullet turn signals.
&nbsp\\;
The Electraglides have tip lights. The plate is above the rear brake light.
&nbsp\\;
The road glide&nbsp\\;also has the plate above the rear brake light. But it has a "V" plaque&nbsp\\;bolted in the lower hole where the tip light or plate would mount.
&nbsp\\;
I am thinking if you take off the tip light&nbsp\\;and add the road glide plaque the hole problem is solved. add the dragger/filler and your done.
&nbsp\\;
Or add the whole back end of the glide (Tail light, plate mount, signals, ect).
&nbsp\\;
I do not have my Ultra yet to experiment yet so I am not sure what will work.
&nbsp\\;
Keep us posted.

The road glide&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;also has the plate above the rear brake light. But it has a "V" plaque&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;bolted in the lower hole where the tip light or plate would mount.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Wrong on two counts.&nbsp\\; The V plaque is a stick on emblem covering a bolt head used to secure a bracket inside the fender that ties into the saddlebag suport rails on each side.&nbsp\\; And the stick on emblem&nbsp\\;doesn't cover a fender tip light hole.
&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;
I am thinking if you take off the tip light&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;and add the road glide plaque the hole problem is solved. add the dragger/filler and your done.

Sounds like you are installing the tri-bar LED fender extension (that doesn't have the saddlebag filler strips of an SG facia) and the SG facia on top of the fender extension.&nbsp\\; Don't see how this will work so&nbsp\\;post pics of one of these installations, please.
