&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; You mean trim a nine inch one down to 8&nbsp\\; 3/4"?&nbsp\\; Or make one from stainless steel
plate?
&nbsp\\; There are enough shields available.....what are you intending to do with your
'home made' one?

I want to know if someone has put their own recurve in an OEM shield and if it worked.&nbsp\\; Email me, I have a stock SG shield I can get rid of cheap.

I have "recurved" 2 fastaire's, (fastaireone on e-bay) a 6 inch (that lost its life when I dropped the bike) and now a 4 inch flat top. Just did the center portion using a heat gun and the stock shield to make a smooth bend, (mounted to the bike). Once I had the right curve up, I shot it with a water bottle to cool it. Works great for me, I am 5'11 and puts the wind right over my noodle. Took me about 30mins, just be careful. I'll try and post some pics if anyone wants to see.&nbsp\\;

My suggestion...........call John @ Clearview, order a nice shield with recurve and it will probably be the last one you will have to buy for a while !!!!!!!
