Spark Plug Wires
Though I have large hands, and a bit arthritic I suppose, they aren't enormous. That said, how do you change the spark plug wires without taking the gas tank off of the FLHTCU? And, please, don't tell me the tank must come off. Clearly, the spark plug end is a none issue but is there a trick to reaching up under the tank to take off the old ones and attach the new one?
Thanks is advance for any advice.

I do not know specifically if there will be an issue, but you might want to make sure the new wires do not mess with the Ion Sensing system the bike computer uses to monitor ignition.

I've changed them by removing all 3 bolts for the tank. Raise the rear of the tank \\;as high as you can and place a block of wood between the frame and tank. That should give you enough room to change wires and/or throttle cables. Done it many times. Good luck.

is there any real advantage to replacing them?
