Had a gel pad professionally inserted in my stock seat. Only increased riding comfort for about an additional 30 minutes. No memory foam though - may make a difference. Would not recommend simple inset of pad based on my experience.

 

OK...I tried all the seat cushions you can think of.&nbsp\\; I had a 2004 Sporty XL1200 and rode 5700 miles on an AirHawk cushion.&nbsp\\; Best thing I have ever used.&nbsp\\; You can check them out on line by googling AirHawk or on Ebay.&nbsp\\; I bought mine on Ebay for about $100.&nbsp\\; These things have pockets of air about 3"X3"&nbsp\\; you can adjust the amount of air and I'm telling you they saved me from Monkey Butt.&nbsp\\; Check um out and let me know what you think.
