I have heard that easy-off oven cleaner is the thing to use. I havent done it but its supposed to remove pinstrips without damaging the clear coat.

+2 done it before. Let it sit long enough to disolve so you =dont have to scrub . Did it on a race car with big letters and then repainted letters and stripping. I think we used&nbsp\\; dilluted baking soda and rinse to disolve acid.

Thanks for the compliment, but the fairing is being sold and I would rather sell it in black so I might attract a bigger audiance. My new fairing is already on the bike so I need to updat my sig.
Thanks I'll get easy off spray today.

Test it on the black under the seat first to make sure it does't effect it in anyway.

Don't know that oven cleaner would be a good idea on Gel-coat on a fairing. At least I "think" it's gel-coat on the fairings.

You can always use a clay bar, that may work or have someone buff the fairing, that will remove the pin stripe.

Id be leary about using chemicals on the paint. 3M make a wheel that removes lettering and adhesives from paint without burning the underpaint. It goes in a drill or die grinder.

Clay bars only remove stubborn dirt. Do a search on color sanding. I think that will do it.
