Hello-
Does anyone else think Harley's solution to the heat is kind of funny? \\;Running the exhaust up and under, away from the legs. \\;Pretty smart in a way and good for the aftermarket pipe makers, since they will now have to sell a new design I guess.
Also, wasn't it funny to read all of the speculation about the 09 models and then, here they are, basically the same? No water cooled baggers, no XR Sporty that the Europeans get, etc. \\;I was laughing to myself at the wild ideas, now I can laugh out loud at all of those people who had "inside information, direct from reliable inside sources"!
Cheers!
I had a hard time believing that H-D would be going to water-cooled bikes. \\; I figured they couldn't change the appearances of them TOO much or else they would lose the loyalists. \\; Glad to see they went the route they did.
I guess they put cat converters into the exhaust.. or do the 08s have cats already?
My 06 cop bike hade a cat in the right muffler and that thing got HOT...
After chucking it for the V&\\;Hs and stage1, everything runs much cooler.
 \\;
Anyway, I wonder if they were able to richen the mix up some and cool the motor temp.
