All the oil change info is in your OWNERS MANUAL also. I suggest reading it completely. It is packed full of good info about your scoot !!![sm=goodidea.gif]
I changed oil at 200 miles, then had the shop do all fluids at the 1k. Most all break-in occurs during the first 100 miles or less, I wanted any junk from break-in outa there. I just used dino oil, then the shop put syn3 in all 3 holes at the 1k service.
IMO, it is a waste to change the oil before 1000 miles. \\; If it was needed, HD would recommend you change before 1000 miles because they are the ones that warrenty and pay the costs with repairs.
Change at 1k miles. You should change all 3 fluids. I have liked Mobil 1 V-twin in the engine, Harley oil in the primary and Mobil 1 75w-140 in the trans. Works great for me.
thanks but should I replace all the fluids at 1000 miles? Im sure the manual will tell me how to change everything and Im not really worried about the process, its when I should do the first change of the fluids that Ill bet the manual leaves out.
 \\;
Buy the service manual from zannotis. \\; Change them all at 1000 miles. \\; Then I think the service manuel says change every 5000 \\;miles \\;for \\;engine, 10,000 miles for \\;primary, 20,000 miles for tranny. \\;
