Windex!!!
I also use windex, Heck I even used the old blue windex in the past, but last year I got an earfull from a guy telling me I was gonna damage my paint, but I have used it for years with no issue, I do use the amonia free now days. I know for a fact the dealer will use windex for chrome.
Are we talking the "Windex with Vinegar Commercial Strength" that has the yellow label???
Says right on the back in fine print it can be used on auto chrome. Assuming no harm to can done here.
Has anyone tried those PLEDGE WIPES for painted surfaces??? Wouldn't these leave a "greasy" feel on your paint???
Curious if anybody have first hand experience with this stuff above versus the "Harley Spray Cleaner and Polish" (99817-99).
I have been using this spray stuff on everything and it takes awhile to spiff things up.
Sounds like these household items will clean/shine the scooter as good and quicker. ANY NEGATIVES TO THESE???
Bought some of both - will try next weekend ($2.69 for the Windex, $2.50 for the wipes).
THANKS!!!!
A friend has one of the first year V-Maxs and its looks like its brand new. I asked him what he does to maintain it and said the only thing he ever uses is Glass Plus and refuses to use car wash detergents. He liked it better than windex because he thought it cleaned better and left a better shine and I couldn't disagree. I started using it last year and think its great. Walmart used to sell gallon jugs of the stuff but now only has the spray bottles.
From everything that I have ever heard, Keep the Windex away from your windshield. it etches the plastic I am told. Might be ok for paint and chrome, sure sounds like it, but not the windshield

Forgot to add...Windex works well as a temporary lubricant... getting the tire on the rim, getting a muffler on or off the exhaust pipe.. about anywhere you need slippage. When it drys the slippage is gone....
