My '08 EGlide has build date of 9/07 and we're riding up to Milwaukee from S. Florida in August so thanks a bunch for the heads up!

I have been told that this is a way to see if there are any recalls on your bike. \\; I just entered my VIN and the normal service check list was returned.

Fuel filter canister be damned, on Sunday my son and I are leaving for Washington from Minnesota. \\; He will be on his 08 Fat Bob and I will be riding my 08 EG (build date 12/07). \\; It should be a good trip.

I have mine scheduled to be fixed on Tuesday. \\; The dealer said that they have replaced about five prior to the recall due to failure. \\; It was interesting that the ones they did only had about 3000 miles on them. \\; In fact one failed on the way home from a 1000 mile inspection. \\; My bike has 13,500 miles on it with no problems noted. \\; It will be interesting to see the part when they take it out. \\; Maybe I'm just lucky. \\;

I called the HD shop in Lakeland, Florida this AM. Turns out as I was speaking to the front desk, the service manager was breifing the techs on the new recall. \\; they do not have the new parts in stock but expect delivery on August 4..I got my name the first on the list. \\; I got 7000 on my bike and no problems but be good to have it replaced.

I want to thank you guys! Damn I love this forum and Dawg you have been so very helpful. I went to the dealer and he said also that my bike is under the recall. Dealer stated he is waiting for the kits to arrive from HD Factory the filter shell Kits .Apparently these kits have the new shell and gaskets etc. They told me they are expecting them first week of August!! So I have 2900 miles on my bike and Im riding a timebomb! I wont do any long trips till I have the recall done!! I have a few planned "NJ Roar To The Shore" and a few others end of August Ist week September.
Again I want to thank this forum and DAWG a special thanks "You Da Man"!!

Thanks...I looked up my VIN in the link and it is under recall for the fuel filter shell as well.
