Filter Shell - recall possible
don't know how reliable. \\; Just was at my local dealer and salesman told me there is a recall on the filter shell 11/07 build date and earlier. \\; He said he found out this morning. \\; he pointed to an EG Standard that's been on the floor since November \\;with a pink sticker on the headlight - he said the little pink sticker meant it had yet to have the new shell installed. \\; I don't have an 08 so didn't ask for proof or anything.

Thanks Dawg - my dealer just said "November and earlier" \\; he didn't know exact date off top of his head.

thats good news! \\; I just bought an \\; 08 eg annv .I am going on a trip next weekend. I will talk to the dealer on monday. Funny I was there yesterday picking up the cigarette lighter . It fell out about 2 miles from the dealer and I asked about the shell. Service manager said he hadonly seen on failure but the parts guy sure knew what I was talking about \\; \\; \\; \\; Many Thanks to you guys on this site
